What is Iranian Blue Salt?

Iranian Blue Salt, also known as Persian Blue Salt, is a fossil salt or rock salt, with crystals that formed 100 million years ago in the prehistoric seas. The intense pressure from tectonic plate movements led to the creation of crystals with a unique structure. The blue color of this Iranian salt comes from the presence of potassium mineral called sylvinite, which is exclusively found in halite salts. Typically, halite salts have a pink color, making the blue variety extremely rare. The Semnan mine is located in northern Iran, in the Ergourz mountain range.

Rich in calcium, iron, and potassium, Iranian Blue Salt has numerous nutritional qualities. Its consumption helps improve oxygen circulation in the blood, strengthen the heart, maintain healthy blood pressure, and facilitate digestion.

History of Persian Blue Salt

100 million years ago, Persian Blue Salt coexisted with extinct species during the mass extinction event in the Cretaceous period, caused by an asteroid impact, volcanic eruption, or ocean regression. These species included large marine and flying reptiles, ammonites (ancestors of nautilus), and dinosaurs.
