Roses have grown in China for over 5,000 years. Their beautiful pink colour make them a wondrous floral decoration for use in cooking and a truly original ingredient. Their delicately enchanting scent will add an elegant and trendy touch to your chocolate desserts, home-made cream desserts, strawberry clafoutis, iced tea, macarons, sorbets and fruit salads. Recipe for sugared rose petals:
Ingredients :

A few rose petals
2 egg whites
Castor sugar

Beat the egg whites lightly with a whisk then dip the petals in the egg whites and cover with a thin layer of sugar. Lay out to dry on greaseproof paper. Be careful not to touch them as they are very fragile while crystallizing.
