Chickpeas are versatile and can be incorporated in numerous ways: mashed to make hummus, in salads, curries, soups, or even roasted as a crispy snack. They are an excellent source of protein and add a delicious touch to many vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Some Recipe Ideas for Cooking Chickpeas

  • - Roasted chickpeas: drain and dry your chickpeas, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, and olive oil. Bake until crispy;
  • - Hummus: blend chickpeas with cooked vegetables, herbs, and a dressing made of olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper;
  • - Caramelized chickpeas: mix cooked chickpeas with maple syrup, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and olive oil. Spread on a baking sheet and bake until caramelized;

Within Ferme des 3 Rois, a family farm, chickpeas are sown at the beginning of April to be harvested in August. About 6 tons of chickpeas are harvested each year.
