Apricot salt flakes !

Murray salt is harvested from the Hattah underground saline waters in northwestern Victoria. This small family business has been producing high-quality salt for 30 years, during which time they gained significant knowledge and developed innovative extraction techniques. As a result, they have been awarded a number of international gastronomy prizes as well as the Engineers Australia Award.

This salt is guaranteed to be 100% additive-free and contains no preservatives.

These apricot coloured salt flakes are obtained using an interception scheme in which very saline groundwater is pumped out before entering the river, then transported to large basins where the salt evaporates little by little. Murray salt is thus the fruit of a vast programme to desalinate the Murray River that helps solve serious social and environmental problems created by the salt.

For thousands of years, the still waters have given this salt purity, mildness, a delicate colour, and an exquisite taste, propelling it into the limelight of today’s gastronomic scene.
