The Mitmita is an Ethiopian spice mix. Its red-orange colour comes from the spices in it like ground pili-pili chilli peppers, cardamom seeds, garlic, black cumin, ginger and salt. Its hot spicy taste will go perfectly with chicken stock, vegetables, dips for raw vegetables, home-made guacamole, lamb tagine with prunes or barbecued King prawns. An essential ingredient of Ethiopian cuisine!

It is traditionally used in Ethiopian cuisine for seasoning “Kifto” (beef tartar) and “Injeras” (large spongy sourdough flatbread).
