The name “Kefta” comes from “Kufta” which means “chop” in Persian. This Moroccan spice mix is an essential ingredient for making Kefta meatballs. It is mainly made from paprika and ground cumin.
Kefta meatball recipe: Mix 1kg of minced meat (beef or lamb), 2 finely chopped onions, 2 tomatoes peeled and diced, fresh coriander, salt, Penja pepper and two teaspoons of Kefta mix.
This mix will enchant your rougail, marinades for meat skewers, home-made omelettes and enhance a Moroccan tagine.
