The Incas tasty treasure.

Inca Inchi oil comes from the seeds of the Plukenetia volubilis plant, endemic to South America. This beautiful star shaped green fleshy fruit was highly treasured by the Incas, as attested by the great many frescos and pottery depicting the plant. During the last decade in Peru, José Anaya Yabar launched the production of "sacha inchi" or the "Inca peanut" as an alternative to growing coca for Amazonian farmers. This is the perfect example of a successful combination of sustainable development, fairtrade and the development of health foods.

What a flavour !

Freshly cut herbs, lettuce, raw peas... There are hundreds of ways to describe this subtle, fresh and totally unique taste!

This cold pressed oil is extremely fluid yet dry.

Just like many other delicate products, it should not be heated. Drizzle it over your vegetables, meat and fish, use in your vinaigrettes and cold sauces.
