Details

The name Gomasio comes from the Japanese words “goma” which means “sesame” and “shio” which means “salt”. This roasted spice mix is made from Golden Sesame, Black Sesame, Sesame with Umeboshi plums and fleur de sel d’Ifaty.

Enlivens all your yoghurt based sauces for raw vegetables, perfect with marinated shrimps, on crunchy vegetables or wok-fried chicken, with spicy glazed tuna steak, in home-made tuna paté, or simply with a bowl of rice. A true delight for your tastebuds !

Best ground roughly with a pestle and mortar before using and added at the end of the cooking process or just before serving.

Roasting gives spices grilled aromas and toasted notes similar to caramel and hazelnut. The roasting process is slow and gentle in order to develop the spices' delicate aromas fully. The spices selected by Terre Exotique have been dry roasted by hand without oil at a constant temperature.
