The fine light texture of this fleur sel from Portugal means it dissolves quicker than traditional sea salt.

This fleur de sel benefits from the expertise of the Portuguese salt workers and an ideal coastal climate with lots of sun and wind. It is harvested by hand then dried in the sun in the Algarve region. A thin crust of white crystals forms on the surface of the salt ponds when the water evaporates due to the sun and the wind.

This fleur de sel from Portugal will delight your boiled eggs, fish “en papillote” with carrots, vegetable mash, shortcrust pastry, goat’s cheese, a slice of bread and butter or pan-fried foie gras.
