Spiced rum is the emblem of La Reunion, the West Indies and Madagascar. There are literally hundreds of recipes depending on personal preferences, local specialties and family traditions.

Our mix of spices will give your rum powerful yet subtle aromas.

Ceylon Cinnamon , Star anise, Allspice berry will give flavours of grilled almonds and soft fruits, whilst mace and Pili-pili chili will give your rum a strong and powerful punch.

The perfect recipe for a well-balanced spiced rum:

- Choose a white rum with 40 and 50° alcohol.
Add the spices to 70cl of rum.
- Add 10 to 20% of sugar syrup depending on how sweet you like your rum.
- Leave to infuse for a few weeks, don’t forget to taste now and again (ideally leave to infuse for a minimum for 40 days, if you can be patient it will only improve with time….).
- Then enjoy your spiced rum as an aperitif or an after-dinner drink.

Alternatively, at the 2nd stage, you can add 2 - 3 teaspoons of the spice mix. Your rum will get a delicious surprise of aromas every time you try your rum depending on what is in the spoon of spices. Watch out not to use too much star anise and Pili-pili chili as they can easily overpower the rest of the spices. (More than 3 Pili-pili chilis will blow your head off!)
