The Diamond of Salt, Jewel of the Himalayas!

The history of the diamond of salt dates back 200 million years. The Himalayan mountain range was born from the collision of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian tectonic plates, which caused the disappearance of the ancient Tethys Ocean that separated them. The slow evaporation of the ocean's waters left behind these pink salt crystals, rich in minerals and trace elements.

Around 350 BC, it was Alexander the Great who first brought this precious salt from Kashmir to Europe. In ancient times, it was reserved for deities and emperors.

Gently hand-extracted from the mines of Khewra, nestled in the heart of the Himalayas, these fossil marine salt crystals, known as rock salt, mineral salt, or earth salt, are untouched by pollution, additives, and refining processes. As a result, they are 100% assimilable by the body. These mines are far from depleted and hold 600 million tons of salt!

It is the purest salt in the world.

Its flavor is slightly less salty than fleur de sel, and its texture is delicately drier. Its neutral taste complements any dish. Its color can vary from pink to red, depending on its iron content. As a rock salt, it is iodine-free. Its color and shape are elegant and astonishing.

How to use the diamond of salt block?
