Handcrafted in Italy
Grissini originated in Turin, where were created in the 17th century following a request from Duke Vittorio Amedeo II, who suffered from digestive problems and wanted an easy-to-digest and delicious snack. With just a few ingredients, bakers in a Piedmont workshop transform bread dough into crunchy and tasty sticks. The black olives are added at the last moment, so as not to toast the dough.
