This Chiltepin cream is made from Bird chilli, or Pili-pili which is one of hottest chilli peppers in the world. It is powerfully hot with long lasting flavours and rates 9/10 on the Scoville scale (volcanic), releasing very strong and sweet notes. Perfect for spicing up sauces, rougails, grilled meat, pan-fried vegetables and soups.
It’s an essential ingredient of hot and spicy Thai curry or the traditional Vietnamese Bo Bun salad.
This little red chilli pepper is picked in Cameroon.
