The greek gyros recipe

 

Discover the Greek gyros through this delicious recipe from Mediterranean cuisine!

Ingredients

  • Two Greek yogurts
  • One lemon
  • Two cloves of garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Two teaspoons of Greek pita blend
  • Fresh parsley
  • Two chicken fillets
  • Half a cucumber
  • Half a tomato
  • A few cherry tomatoes
  • One red onion
  • A few leaves of green salad

 

 

Préparation

  • Prepare the marinade. In a bowl, pour one Greek yogurt, add the zest and juice of a lemon, grate one clove of garlic, then drizzle with olive oil. Add two teaspoons of Greek pita blend and some fresh parsley, and mix.
  • Incorporate your diced chicken fillets, mixing so that the marinade fully covers the pieces. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Prepare the sandwich sauce. In a bowl, mix a Greek yogurt with cucumber, tomato, lemon juice, garlic, and parsley. Mix everything together.
  • In a pan, sauté the chicken pieces in a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Assemble the gyro by adding a spoonful of sauce in the center. Add diced red onions, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes, chopped green salad, and finally your chicken pieces. Top with a generous spoonful of sauce.
