Terre Exotique spicy brown bread
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 320 ml water;
- 500 g flour;
- 8g dried yeast;
- 1 tblspn. Terre Exotique Baker spice blend.
Method:
- Activate the yeast with a small amount of warm water in a bowl.
- Meanwhile, add the Baker’s mix to the flour then add the yeast and water. Knead by hand until the dough is smooth and slightly elastic.
- Cover the dough with a warm damp tea towel then leave to rise for 1 and a half hours.
- Knock the air out of the dough with your fist then shape your bread, place on a baking tray and leave to rise again for an extra 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 230°C. Sprinkle some seeds over the top of your bread, score the dough with the blade of a knife then brush with a pastry brush dipped in water.
- Bake for 15 minutes and enjoy your spicy bread warm as if it was straight from the baker’s oven!
