Chili con carne

Ingredients for the recipe:


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) (thermostat 6).
  2. Chop 2 onions and crush 2 garlic cloves. In a cast iron casserole dish, melt 50 g of butter and gently brown the onions and garlic.
  3. Add 500 g of ground beef and cook gently for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix in 1 Amazonian chili pepper, cut into small pieces, 2 teaspoons of cumin, 65 g of tomato paste, and incorporate it all into the beef.
  5. Add 1 large can of drained red beans, 30 cl of beef broth, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  6. Cover and cook in the oven for 25 minutes.
  Chef's tip: To garnish, you can add parsley or fresh coriander.
