Shrimp skewers with satay sauce

Discover this delicious recipe with the Terre Exotique satay blend. These spicy shrimp skewers are perfect for a light and flavorful meal!

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 16 to 20 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Terre Exotique satay blend
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into pieces
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into pieces
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the Terre Exotique satay blend, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and lime juice to make the marinade.
  2. Add the peeled shrimp to the marinade and mix well to coat them. Cover the bowl and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare your skewers by alternating the marinated shrimp with pieces of bell peppers and red onion.
  4. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the shrimp skewers on the hot grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and well cooked. Make sure to turn the skewers halfway through cooking for even cooking.
  6. During cooking, you can use the remaining marinade to baste the skewers and add even more flavor.
  7. Once the shrimp skewers are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

Serve the hot shrimp skewers with basmati rice or stir-fried noodles, drizzled with soy sauce and a few extra drops of lime juice. You can also accompany them with lime wedges and chopped fresh cilantro for extra freshness.
