French Onion Soup Gratin



  • 1 liter of ready-to-use Ariake PURE chicken broth
  • 4 sliced onions
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • Grilled bread
  • Grated Gruyère cheese


  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.Add the sliced onions and sauté them until they are golden.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the onions and mix to form a roux.
  3. Pour the ready-to-use chicken broth into the saucepan. Bring to a boil and let it simmer until the soup thickens slightly.
  4. Prepare slices of grilled bread.
  5. Pour the soup into ovenproof bowls. Place a slice of grilled bread on top.
  6. Generously sprinkle grated Gruyère cheese over the bread.
  7. Broil in a preheated oven until the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy this delicious French Onion Soup!
