How to use barbecue pepper in cooking?

Made from crushed smoked black pepper, smoked garlic, and chipotle chili, this blend can be used both before cooking (as a dry seasoning or in a marinade) and after cooking to enhance grilled meats, fish, or vegetables. Simply sprinkle it directly on your skewers, ribs, chops, steaks, fish, or vegetables to elevate the cooking juices with a spicy, smoky touch. It also works wonderfully in your salads.

Some recipe ideas with barbecue pepper?

  • - Marinated vegetable skewers: mix oil, lemon, and barbecue pepper. Marinate pieces of zucchini, bell peppers, mushrooms, and red onions in the mixture. Thread them onto skewers and grill until lightly caramelized;
  • - Caramelized pork ribs: rub the ribs with a mixture of honey, mustard, and barbecue pepper. Let them marinate for several hours, then bake or grill slowly for tender, glazed, and flavorful meat;
  • - Smoky crispy tofu: cut firm tofu into cubes, sprinkle with cornstarch and barbecue pepper, then pan-fry until golden brown. Perfect to accompany sautéed vegetables or fragrant rice;
  • - Bell pepper tarte tatin with barbecue pepper: roast peppers, arrange them with maple syrup, goat cheese, and pesto rosso, cover with puff pastry, then bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Flip the tart and add barbecue pepper.

The aromas and flavors of barbecue pepper

Barbecue pepper develops an intensely smoky, warm, and robust aromatic profile. The crushed smoked black pepper provides a woody and slightly spicy strength, enhanced by the chipotle chili, which is mild and smoky with almost sweet cocoa notes. The smoked garlic completes the blend with a rich, lingering roundness. This mix offers a perfect balance of power, depth, and complexity, making it ideal for enhancing dishes cooked over fire or embers. Its aromatic profile evokes wood-fired cooking, juicy meats, and long summer evenings around the grill.
